I’m thrilled to share my love for teaching art with you and I’m grateful you are here. I can’t wait to connect with you and see you grow as an artist and creative human being.
See below for workshops and classes as they are offered. Please note that for Fall 2025 and Winter 2026, my classes are more limited as I am working a full time contract until the Spring 2026. Come spring, you will see some new class offerings, like Abstract Landscapes, Mixed Media Art Journaling, and Zen Doodling with Watercolours!

Custom Paint Pour Workshops
Starting at $30 per person plus tax (minimum of 10 people). This workshop is completely customizable to suit your time and needs – canvas size, number of pours you would like to do, and the number of people. This is great fun for most ages!

Custom Art Workshops
Let’s have some fun at your next party, conference, school fundraiser, or special event. Starting at $20 per person plus tax (minimum of 10 people). Art parties can be catered to any age and group size. Kelly has led art classes with babies all the way up to adults over 100 years old!

Paint Pouring Workshops (one day)
Sunday, September 28, 2025, 2pm – 5pm (register)
Sunday, November 16, 2025, 2pm – 5pm (register)
Location: Nepean Visual Arts Centre, 1701 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa
Cost: $73.50 plus tax, supplies included.
In this 3 hour workshop, you’ll create unique art using fluid acrylic paint. You’ll try different styles of paint pouring techniques including dirty pours, flip cups, clean pours and swipes. We’ll also apply different techniques to add interesting details into your art.
Tips, tricks, and varied pouring techniques will help create different layers and patterns of colour in this interactive workshop. All supplies included.
Mixed Media – The Basics – Adults
23 September 2025 to 25 November 2025 (Register)
Tuesdays 6:15 PM – 9:15 PM
Location: Nepean Visual Arts Centre, 1701 Woodroffe Ave
In this course, you will develop a basic understanding of acrylic paints, photo transfers, colour theory, collaging, layering, paint pouring, and more!
There is a focus on creating texture and interesting compositions in a playful manner. Each week, we’ll build on what we learned from the week before. No experience necessary!
Coloured Pencils – Level 1

Mondays, 9:15 AM – 11:45 AM
Location: Nepean Visual Arts Centre, 1701 Woodroffe Ave
Colouring is an easy way to create and suitable for all skill levels. Each week we’ll focus on a guided demonstration of a different technique to practice and develop. You will learn about mixing colours, mark making techniques, artistic ways to use coloured pencils paper and beyond! You’ll also work on your own independent project, where you will receive one-on-one instruction. No experience necessary!
Mixed Media – Large Scale Mixed Media Painting

In this class, we’ll focus on creative expression; and, translating imagination to creation by exploring different medias. With instruction in basic design and colour skills, you’ll create a fantastic world on a large canvas. Learn the beauty of mixed media and how to manipulate space. No experience necessary!
Intro Abstract Painting – Workshop

Zen Doodling Online Workshop
Zen doodling or zentangle drawing is a easy way to create beautiful abstract images simply by combining dots, repetitive lines, and simple curves. It’s easy to learn, relaxing, and promotes well-being.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the basics of drawing beautiful Zen doodles. Then, I’ll walk you through creating a zen doodle landscape that you can also continue on your own time! This workshop is great for all ages (kids welcome!) and levels.
