Deposits

Deposits are not refundable – they cover design time, communications, and materials needed for your art. If you decide to cancel or postpone your order, you may apply your deposit to another order in the future. Deposits are not transferable.

Artwork

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

You cannot return a custom order. If there is something defective, it is up to the buyer to return it to the artist and the artist can assess and fix. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned like custom products (which are most items through Wine and Design). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

For Art Classes and Workshops

Please read the following policies before you register for an art class or workshop with Wine and Design Ottawa.

General Class and Workshop Registration

  • Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis and is limited.
  • Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of payment.
  • Late registrations will be accepted up to the up to the start of third class, provided there is availability. Late registrations will be pro-rated.

Cancellation Policy

We try to make everything as fair as possible and we if you need to cancel after class has begun, but we must cover costs (room rental, insurance, administration, etc.) that are associated with the class. Wine and Design Ottawa puts considerable time and effort to prepare for each class.

If a student cancels:

  • A student may withdraw more than ten days before the start of their scheduled class. A full refund for the class will be issued.
  • Any cancellation less than ten days before class and to the start of the second class, the student will receive a refund of one half (50%) of the course fee.
  • Cancellations after the second class will be charged in full for each class from the starting date of the class to the student’s withdrawal date – whether attended or not. Then, one half (50%) of the remaining classes.
  • No price adjustments, makeup classes, or credits will be provided for missed sessions due to personal conflicts, including illness.

Rescheduling of classes due to Weather and Class Cancellations

  • In the event of low enrollment, Wine and Design reserves the right to cancel classes or workshops up to one week in advance of the beginning of your class or workshop. A full refund will be issued.
  • If a class needs to be cancelled, it will be done by email and phone at least 2 hours before your class. A makeup date will be scheduled. A make up class will be added on at the end of the scheduled class.
  • Refunds are not available for the make up date.

​Scent Free Policy

Wine and Design workshops and classes are all SCENT-FREE.
